Yelp is a dishonest business. I posted a negative review of a daycare that had broken the law by having too many children hoping to spare some parents from our suffering. A week later they sent me an email that it’s been taken down because it’s “based on secondhand information” which is completely untrue and I told them that. They have no interest in helping consumers – they are completely biased towards businesses.

Very true. Particularly the case when the business in question is a small business attracting very few reviews/comments. When this is the case one negative comment can completely skew the overall picture. I believe that you need a genuine local presence to be able to critique reviews – helped by a good network of local people who work in the same industry as the business being reviewed, who can vouch for quality/lack of it.

Keyword tags have next to no importance now to google so I not just dont bother with them as a time saving exercise
